The Glass Museum offers guided school tours
with the object of familiarizing children to art. The department
offers schools a guided tour and an educational childrens
workshop, through which children learn more about glass and
its use in art.
Our guided tours are opened to both public and private schools,
and other institutions and childrens organizations.
The school tour consists on a stroll through the museum, which
includes the history of glass from its origins to the 19th
century, a visit to the rooms of artisan and industrial glass,
a walk through an old pharmacy and the setting of the PellandiniMarco
workshop, two of the most famous stained glass manufacturers.
The visit to the museum is then followed by a tour through
the temporary exhibition in the nearby gallery, and finally
by the Childrens Workshop, where they work on an activity
using recycled glass.
